About the Event
With the waters of Lake Michigan as your backdrop, the Columbia Sailing School invites you to Raise the Sail on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Step aboard the historic clubship Abegweit for an evening of camaraderie, music, and maritime magic in support of the School’s mission to empower the next generation of sailors and expand access to the sport.
Raise the Sail is the School’s biggest celebration and fundraiser of the year. Every ticket, sponsorship, auction bid, and donation fuels scholarships, youth programs, and greater access to sailing, giving future sailors the chance to experience the joy, adventure, and life lessons this sport provides.
As a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law. Your support helps chart a course toward a stronger, more inclusive future for sailing in Chicago.
